Alaska Icefield Expeditions is a company that gives dog sled tours on the glaciers in Alaska. This website was designed by Badi Mibiuba from Court Vision Creative. I then built the WordPress theme on top of the Thematic Framework and added some goodies for the clients.
Here are some of the features:
- Added the customizable slider for the Home Page
- Added shortcodes for ease of use
- Created a Testimonial Custom Post Type for displaying testimonials
- Added a store using Ecwid.com
- Added the output from reservations to the Google Apps account for analysis
- Added user profile page functionality
The Marketing
By reaching out to our customers I was able to create an online community that helped to bring others who were interesting in our tour to us. The online sales were up considerably and the demand is growing. After creating the connection with the guests I asked them to review the company on Trip Advisor. The company went from zero reviews to nine this summer, all five stars. This sent a lot of traffic to the site for reservations. I helped streamline communications and analytics in the company by setting up Google Apps for Business. We were then able to collaborate and track instantly how our marketing efforts were going.
